AND - i have no intention of spearheading anything. he can ship to individual addresses - the volume will just come from the group.

No, not the same guy. I worked with DARMOUR on a cowmouth shoe order. The shoes were great quality, the problems came with the sizing. Their sizing was about 1 to 1 1/2 sizes smaller than conventional US sizing. So, a US size 11 from them would fit a US size 10 foot from here.

Just to much variation for me to buy via the net again without trying things on.

NOTE: Darmour was great to work with and the prices were awesome.

Shipping from Pakistan is NOT cheap. The only way it becomes cost effective is to buy in bulk, ship to one address here, then seperate and reship out.

cool.

as far as shipping goes - i offered to pay it. DHL ships by weight on planes, big box, little box - not much price difference. i asked for a CIF quote. he can post it here or PM or tell me to get bent. hes offering to ship CIF for 70$ "cutting out the middle man" - so there has got to be some room to sharpen his pencil in there - the extra 50 aint all shipping.

im sure i can be

BUT he has set the retail price for the product at 70$ - so unfortunatly its gonna be hard to eat the shipping, pay up front for 10prs and then make a profit adjusted for the US living standard vs pakastan living standard so i guess we have to wait till he pipes up and see where we stand.

He is asking for $70 per pair DELIVERED

OR

$22 per pair for 10 pairs + SHIPPING. So your cost on 10 pairs would be $220 + shipping. Not with shipping.

If this deal can work on the bulk pricing, I'd be interested in two pair of the Medival Buckled Ankle boots, one in Womens 9 and one in Mens 10, if they really are true to US shoe sizing.

My question is this;
Can the bulk pricing be applied to different styles of shoe/boot, or must it be an order for all one type of footwear?

hi Guys, thanks for all the discussions. Well going direct to Public does not mean paying from my own pocket.

For USD 20 / Pair you will have to buy atleast 10 Pairs + shipping ( Group Orders ) and for individual order USD 60 where I will drop the product through DHL at your doorstep.

On Individual orders you will save atleast 30 Dollars and on group orders 50 Dollars / pair.

Cheers,

First, I'm ashamed of the complaints from my countrymen regarding a man offering his products for sale at a decent price. Go to major manufactuerers of many products and see multiple prices listed, one for individual sale and one for bulk or wholesale with a sliding scale price depending on how many you buy. It's not just shipping costs, it's the exra man-hours involved in filling small orders. If that were not true then why would a "middle man" deserve any profit at all, since that's the service he's providing.

I liken this to Baldar and his plastic cuphilts. He sells the direct for a very reasonable price, but he also offers a deep discount for bulk orders if merchants want to carry his product. For some reason many of those merchants feel the need to jack up the price even more to make greater than 100% profit margin which is totally stupid since there is no sizing, no service, they sell themselves... On top of that a few merchants then have the balls to bitch at him for his direct prices being too low.

Anyway....

Westland, do you have a page somewhere with all your products on it so I can put together an order of the various things you have that I might want? I promise not to be ungrateful.

I think a big concern right now from ordering from you is that you just appeared on the archive and no one has ordered from you before? Sending money overseas for a new vendor makes people hesitant. Your product looks great and prices are great too. But no one has ordered or posted a review. Also DHL is no longer in buisness in the US. Does DHL use a different carrier in the US? Could you get a answer from DHL on that.

With respect, Westland has been an Archive member since 2006, just not a frequent poster.
While I have not had dealings with him, I have dealt with merchants from that part of the world and have generally found them helpful and honest in their dealings with customers.

Thanks for that info. Halbreds and I talked and said he had been a member. I guess that is one reason why reviews are so helpful. I have bought from Hammerbreaker on the archive and had to use Money Gram. I was "Twitchy" at first but, all went well. I have been burned by 4 different armorers in the US since 1981 when I first got in. All of them where in the US. It is amazing how in the old days of the sca you could go on a handshake. I sure miss that. There are alot of fine armorers and merchants out there especially on the AA. I think the review process helps us so much. The AA is a fantastic tool and so helpful in so many ways.
