Loose Chainmail Rings

Post by lochinvar76 »

I know that Icefalcon makes and sells loose riveted chainmail rings but are there any other sources out there? I sort of wanted to look at my options before I started spending money....

The ring lord shows they offer riveted rings if that is what you are looking for.

We now offer half bags if you are looking for for less quantity. We offer rings in riveted 6mm, 9mm (mild and stainless), aluminum and butted.

I have all of these in stock.

Been thinking about doing a riveted mail project myself.

I might be able to help out if you just need some to do some repairs. If you need 9mm, stainless steel, flat-link, dome-rivet maille, I just ordered more then I will need for my project.
But I don't want to sell off a big chunk and then find out I'm 100 (or even 1 link) shy of completing my project. That would not be a good thing.

Oh, this is going to be for a complete project. Looking to recreate the representation of Goliath in the Maciejowski Bible (http://www.medievaltymes.com/courtyard/images/maciejowski/leaf28/otm28va&b.gif) so a full hauberk is going to be needed. With a few free hours at night to sew or craft it's far less expensive to build the bugger myself and make the kit more affordable.

It's looking like the cost of loose rings are roughly equivalent from the suppliers I've seen, so it'll probably be a matter of picking someone I feel most comfortable with.

Thanks for the input everyone!

I'm also looking for some flat riveted SS rings. I was making some, but I broke my punch. :(

I only need about a dozen or so to repair my Knuut welded aventail.
