I just made myself and my brother some shields and I have enough left over materials for 2 shields. Actually its two pieces of 2'x4' 1/2 birch, but I will cut out any shape shield blank you want! I will sand 'em down and round the edges a bit for the applying of shield edging.
Kite! Oval! Coffin! Celtic! Any Shape you want. Give me the dimensions and I will cut it.
PRICE LOWERING: Apparently 1/2 birch is more expensive where I live. So I am lowering the price by 50%.
Only $20+shipping (I will need the zip of the buyer to check with FedEx to get the amount).

How heavy is birch in relation to say pine plywood?
And can you put a curve on it? Zip: 16801

I'm interested in something with this shape, but a less pronounced cut-out. The period shields were for cavalry, and that huge cut-out would be a huge disadvantage in SCA combat, plus would probably wreck the balance of the shield.

Sorry but I can't put a curve on it. (I lack the skill and the equipment)
I could cut out that shape though. Let me know if you still are interested.

What the hell, I'll give it a shot.
Lemme measure my current shield so I have an idea of what dimensions I need.

I'm still gonna want that weird shaped one, even if it won't be curved.

PM Sent. I cannot purchase this as I thought this was a curved blank. No way I can justify the cost to the wife for a flat piece of plywood since i have the materials, tools and such to make these myself. I too lack the tools to curve the material.

Sorry.

I am going to knock down the price to $20 as well.
