Which means I'll be shipping out a crapload of stuff this week. Likely will send e-mails to the recipients tomorrow to confirm mailing addresses.
Also currently have 2 stainless klap bascinets with bargrill well under way. As well as a stainless kettle with removable bargrill. Which is the last of the helmets. Just a coat of plates kit, a set of tulip vambraces and a set of shell articulated legs left after them and I'm all done.

You are an animal! Get some rest, and heal up, my legs can wait a little while longer.

I've received a few e-mails from happy customers who have finally got their orders. It feels really good to get those e-mails.
I had a really rough weekend and only got as far as putting my work clothes on yesterday but I'm back to work today and will hopefully have some more stuff to ship by the end of the week. All of them would be great but not likely. I have 4 orders left. 3 of which are in progress.
Hoping to finish this week.
Stainless klap with bargrill (just needs the pins visor straps and paint on the bargrill. Mild bascinet with grill is done. Tulip vambraces are drawn on the steel.
Also stainless klap with bargrill and texas star breaths needs the visor shaped grill painted and pins for attachment and straps. Mild plain greaves are done and also stainless soupcan knees and elbows are done.
That leaves a stainless kettle with grill. Helmet top is done brim is cut grill partially done. And a coat of plates kit.
Stainless shell articulated legs. Haven't started yet. Told the customer I would custom size them which means I have to make up new patterns. Going to start these when the other three are finished.
Hoping the last two will finish next week but if I get more then the first two done this week I will be happier.

I got to see the blackened klapvisor and spaulders you made for a friend of mine this weekend. I'm terribly jealous, the helmet is hot!

CRAP!!!!
I forgot to get pics of that helmet. Out of all the helmets I've ever made (probably around a hundred) that one was my favourite. Any way you can get some pics of it and post them up here. I especially like the shape of the actual helmet without the visor on it.
I'm contemplating teaching a class at pennsic on shaping a klapvisor cold. I have to figure a more portable stake receptacle and something non air powered for putting the flute in the middle before it gets turned into a crease.
They're probably about 3 hours to shape without air tools so would work good as a class.

Oh also forgot to say to keep air tool oil on it. It will help the blueing to last longer. And Don't put wd40 on it. It will work to remove the blueing since the blueing is actually controlled oxidization.

You could always talk to Master Danr (IronTree Works) about doing the class at his smithy. He's got some serious anvil and stake receptacles.

Is he the guy who'se a vendor at pennsic? If you know him and would like to put him in touch with me I'd be happy to do multiple classes there. Which would drive traffic.

Been friends with him for several years, known his wife for decades.

Let him know I pointed you at him. He does classes there already, I don't know his schedule.

No problem. I'll go over there when they get back from Highlands War and get some good ones.

Finished the first one on the list yesterday. The two bascinets and tulip vambraces.
Working on the next one today the stainless klap with texas star breaths.

Got the gauntlets today as well as the sabatons. Very nice work, Matt!

Glad you're happy thanks for the note.
The ss klap with bargrill and hourglass vambraces and low pro grill bascinet are done waiting to hear from the customer to confirm mailing address.
Finished today stainless klap with custom breaths and removable grill. Also along with that order stainless soupcan knees and elbows and mild plain greaves. So that order is finished.
Tomorrow will be working on stainless kettle with removable grill and coat of plates kit.
And once that's done I've just got a pair of shell articulated stainless legs to do.
This stuff really needs to get finished. The combination of trying to get this stuff done, taking care of my kids and absolutely nothing going right in my life for a very long time means I'm really close to a mental crash. Getting this weight off should help a bit and so will the end of the school year and having a break from the kids when they spend time at their mom's.

Hey, Matt, I don't know if you recall, but I bought some spaulders from you a while back when you were doing a 'cleaning sale'. They are currently being polished and strapped, and are going to go into a gift basket for the Battlemoor event. I wanted to make sure it's okay to put your contact info / website / etc in with the armour, in case the person who gets it wants more... that ok with you?

You're welcome to but it's not likely I'll be taking new orders. Also I think I didn't make those spaulders.

They were sold on this thread:
http://forums.armourarchive.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=91229
"Also a pair of mild westlig stjerne 5 piece spaulders asking $30 "
If you did not make them, do you know who did?
I'd like to credit the armorer appropriately.

They deserve no credit for anything. Westlig stjerne is the name of the armory. They ripped off TONS of people. Myself included. They owe me a helmet. Probably has been about 14 years.

Oh, yikes. I know so little about armour that I thought the armoury name was the type of armour. My bad.
Thanks for the info!

The rest of last week was rough for mental health and didn't get anything else done. Plus I hurt my neck and my hip carrying some railway ties.
Anyway those injuries are recovered and tomorrow is a new week hoping to finish the last two orders this week.
