When I heard that Adric13 from Linengarb.com was coming to Lilies I was excited to hear that I would get to save on the shipping costs of the 2 new sets of garb I had ordered.
Having meet Adric13 in person last week I became convinced that the savings were a minor issue in comparison to meeting the actual man.
Adric is a genuinely nice laid back fellow that worked with me on several things over the period of Lilies and Im really glad I got to meet him.
He has a great demeanor, seems genuinely interested in making his customers happy (instead of just making a buck) and his customer service is top notch (he went as far as letting me take some merchandise back to my camp and making sure it was what I wanted without demanding payment)
Im really impressed with his line of clothing (and anyone that really knows me knows I don’t impress to easily) and as I told him I will be ordering a lot more stuff from him in the coming months as I put my SCA wardrobe back together*
The seams are all very well done IMO, his colors are extremely vibrant (more earth colors man!), and the linen isn’t the cheap thin stuff that I expected when originally seeing his prices. Best of all his ‘big boy’ line is a god send to us fuller figured fellas!
Ive never really been into the whole 'rus pants' thing but the two pairs I bought ended up being worn ALOT last week and I REALLY like the fit.
They wont quite fit my fighting rig yet (I need to modify my current leg harness and they will) but the straight legged trousers worked just fine (Adric, is it possible to get the straight legged trousers in the same mustard yellow you use on the rus pants?)
If I were to use the frieman scale it would be all 5’s (admittedly I couldn’t personally rate the shipping category but I know that he was busy slinging orders up until the day he left for Lilies so Id imagine that most would agree he deserves top scores there too!)
I only have one regret…….that I didn’t have more money to spend in his shop:)
*I gave away most of my SCA stuff when I weeded out all the non period material stuff when I started doing LH, and only really had two sets of LH stuff and most of it is heavy wool and NOT suitable for Midwestern summers AT ALL!
