Aurora Monster kits ( built ups) on Ebay!

Post by Otto von Teich »

I hate to do this, but I need the money, and I'm selling my collection of Aurora ( mainly reissues) built and painted monster model kits on ebay. They include the Gigantic Frankenstein, with movable arms (aka Big Frankie), Guillotine ( working model), Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman, Mummy,Creature from the Black Lagoon, Phantom of the Opera, The Hunchback of Notre Dame ( original aurora issue),Dr. Jeckyll as Mr. Hyde, King Kong, Godzilla, The Bride of Frankenstein, the Witch and the Forgotten Prisoner of Castle Mare. All proceeds go to a good cause ( paying my bills LOL) If your over 45 you probably remember these great kits that were so popular during the monster craze of the 1960's and early 70's. Thanks for looking! http://shop.ebay.com/otttokits/m.html?_ ... m=&_ipg=25

Otto, Those are excellent!
I have fond memories of building most of those same kits in the early 70s with my dad. You did an excellent job on them.

Ditto. Man, I loved those things.

Kinda wish I could find some now in mint.... Love to do 'em again.

Hey, anyone remember the Vampirella and Mad Doctor/Torture Chamber models?

Yep, Sweet memories! I bought and built most of the originals back in the 60s. I think Aurora stopped making the "Working" Guillotine at one point because adults thought it was too "graphic" for the kiddies.

"Famous Monsters of Filmland" used to showcase fan made "dioramas" using those Aurora kits. I still have all those magazines stored away in a box.

Yes, she was.

She was my introduction to physics-defying wardrobe. :)

Thanks for the compliments Talbot! I'm glad these brought back some fond memories for you guys. Eff, reissues of these kits mint in the box, show up on ebay quite often, alot cheaper than MIB original Auroras.

Great, more evil time spent on e-bay. ;)

Thanks for the heads-up on that. I should have realized that would be the case.
