Possible bed for sale at pennsic.

Post by Mad Matt »

Ok so I'm going to make myself a new bed for pennsic (I hope) a wrought iron one that's less bulky and is the right size for my new memory foam mattress. Which means my old bed will be for sale.

It's a rope bed full size 52" wide and longer then a bed should be. Wood stained dark brown. But on top of that I didn't like the whole rope bed so while all the holes are still there it's also set up for being a slat bed and includes the slats.

Would be willing to sell it for pre-arranged delivery at pennsic. It's very sturdy I've had myself plus 2 300 pound friends of mine bouncing up and down on it.

Last year I put a queen air mattress in it and it worked out fine.

Probably looking to get about $100 for it but open to offers in both directions. If anyone's interested lemme know and I'll put it together and post pics.

It's not pretty unless you consider pretty plain. Wanted to see if there's any interest first. Since there is I'll get pics up today or tomorrow.

uhh, you didn't need to share that.

That's a personal foul on Matt, roughing the reader, that'll be a 2 beer penalty and loss of down.

Hahaha. I think everyone had clothes on during that. It was literally testing the bed. And everyone was bouncing independently. Gonna post pics in an hour or two.

I'm interested, pending pics. Do you know it's approximate weight, folded dimensions, and the length of setup time required?

looks like pics are going to have to wait till tomorrow. I forgot that I've got 350 pounds of spring steel sitting on top of the slats in the trailer.

Ok here's pics. Fair bit of interest so will run it as an auction till sometime saturday. It's gotta be worth my while to find space in the car to bring it to pennsic. It's dirty from being in storage I'll clean it up if someone gets it.

I'll be arriving on the 6th and can deliver it to your camp when I arrive or you can pick it up at omega.

Took pics of the one end that split due to me hitting it too hard with a hammer to put it together. (I just tend to hit things too hard with hammers).

Goes together pretty easy. I usually run a rope from end to end in the center to supoprt the middle of the slats a bit better and hold the ends in.

I'm willing to replace the split end board. It is repaired at the moment though so place your bid stating with or without replacement. I can also put a wider board on if I replace it so there's a bit of a head board and pillows don't fall off the top.
