Hjalmar update (August 10th)

Post by hjalmr »

Here is a quick update to let people know how things stand. I had to fix my car last a couple weeks ago and the $1880 bill has left me short on funds. Rent and utilities are a week behind and I just don't have the money to ship anything right now. Please don't worry as I have money coming to me, I just have to pay rent before shipping out items. I will get these in the mail as soon as I can but it may take a week or so extra. Most of you are not in a hurry, but if you are please PM me and I'll try shipping yours first. Do not fret - I just wanted to keep people updated as to why your item is not in your hands yet. I apologize for the delays:

Tony Canevaro (SCA Helmet) –Finished!
Scott Gelpi (Norman Helmet) –Finished!
Tim Gimbert (Gauntlets) –Finished!
J.Schwab (Ocular Spagnhelm, Gauntlets, Crossguard) –Finished!
Daniel Miller (Spartan Helm) –Finished!
James Moore (Sugarloaf helmet and 3-Piece Cops) –Finished!
Phil Holland (SCA Helmet and Spagnhelm) –1/2 Finished!
bigfredb (Custom Helm) -Too small, must redo.
Ben Armstrong (SS Kettlehelm, Elbow and Knee Cops) – Starting soon.
Rodrigo Valdes (Frisian Helmet) –Starting soon.
John Waldo (Viking Helmet) –Starting soon.

If you are not on the list (and should be) let me know.

Thanks for the update. I've heard so many horror stories over the years of folks working with armourers, but your diligence in keeping communication flowing is very reassuring.

agreed!
I have always been leery of buying off of forums, but you have made this quite a pleasant experience. I will definitely recommend you to any new fighters i run across, and i plan on ordering for myself as soon as possible. :D

Well I appreciate everyones understanding. I really feel bad that I can't get all this stuff in the mail as I understand what its like to be waiting for an item and wondering where it is. This is one of the reasons that I strive to stay in touch and let my customers know whats up.

I am actually hoping a few people will come back from Pennsic and contact me with an order so I can mail out the stuff I have finished. This would be the first year in 10 if no one does.
