To help fund my "Lloyd needs Joust Armour Fund" I am putting up for sale a brand new (just picked it up last month) Albion Crecy War Sword.

Images can be found HERE

Mine has the "campaign (light) brown" hilt wrapping, which gives it that worn/used look. I will get pics taken this evening if anyone would like to see them.

Here are the specs from Albion:

The Crecy
Limited Edition Medieval War Sword
(Oakeshott Type XVIa)

Crecy was one of the most decisive battles of the 100 Years War. After the battle of Sluys, Edward III landed in Normandy in July 1346 with about 10,000 men. The French pursued. Edward III decided to halt near Crecy in Normandy and to prepare for battle the next day.

However, the French vanguard made contact and started to attack without the benefit of a plan. The French made as many as 15 attacks and the English checked each one in turn, primarily thanks to the English longbowmen. In the end, the French were decimated and the English had a decisive victory.

The Crecy is one type of sword that would have seen service on both sides during the 100 Years War.

Oakeshott describes the Type XVIa as having a long, tapering blade, broad at the hilt, with a sharp, often reinforced, point.

The Crecy is a fine example of a later period epee de guerre, or war sword, a refinement of the earlier XIIa in response to changes in the armour of the period.

A Limited Edition Hand Crafted Collectible Sword
This sword is offered in a limited edition of only 500 collectible swords worldwide.

Specifications
Overall length: 44.75" (113.7 cm)
Blade length: 35.625" (90 cm)
Blade width: 2" (5 cm)
CoB: 4" (10.16 cm)
CoP: 21.5" (54.61 cm)
Weight: 3 lbs 1 oz (1.39 kilos)

Albion is selling these for $800 + shipping (and I am not sure, but I think they still have a significant wait time for their orders).

I am selling this sword for $750 + shipping in CONUS (outside the US, please contact me to get an idea on shipping, tariff costs).

I love it to. But my attempts to sell my 2 'lesser' swords failed and I need to get Allan some cash.

I never even got to cut with it....

Leo, I would consider payments (you did offer me use of your horse), I just need to get cash to Allan so that I can get my armour moving.

You know you want it.......

Trust me, if I didn't need joust armour it would be staying firmly in my tight little grasp.

Reasonable offers considered....

A couple of pics from Albion Europe's site showing the entire blade and what the Campaign Brown grip looks like.

Last Bump -

I would entertain trade offers as well. I need decent quality joust armour (mid-15th century) in my rather large size.

Anyone in need of a Trek 930 mountain bike? Maybe I can get some cash to Allan by selling it. (yes, I am a bit frustrated at the moment) - the other 2 swords didn't sell either).
