What I Do: Illumination (not calligraphy), amber jewelry (if you're in the Outlands, you've probably seen some of my work if you know Nathaniel McPhereson, my brother - he gives it out as gifts), beadwork - both heraldic (badges) or decorative (beaded veils, etc). Also relatively ok at heraldic images (ie, send me a description and I can put together an image - but I am no where near Effingham's league).

What I Seek: Ottoman Turkish Stuff. I'm horribly out of period/out of genre/fakeyME in my garb, and would like to get a more authentic appearance. Be that accessories, footwear, feast gear, clothing, headgear, jewelry, woodworking for camp items, tent decor, etc.. any of that would be lovely.

Zubeydah, I've got a few projects in mind for trinkets and accessories once I get my "shop" up and running for the winter (just moved to a new town). I'd sure like to discuss some of these things with you and see about possible trades in the near future.

Orc does
Basic leather items, with pyrography, can combine with Blacksmithing items. Also does steel, copper or brass dragon sculptures and will work on other creatures etc. I think the dragons rock, but that just me (and a few people who've bought them)
Quite a few photos of past work here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/orcsmith/ but that's not exhaustive.
Also makes some costume and latex props/prosthetics - hands, heads, fingers etc. Also latex masks.

Wants - any historically accurate clothing or armour or other items, with an emphasis on Viking period (building new kit) but any period up to Elizabethan considered. Will consider anything - tablet weave braid, coins etc. anything.

On the tsuka maki, do you do the full lacquer and wrap or just the wrapping?

So far I have worked in leather, silk, cotton, and tsunami ito. I preferr to do full samegawa. I have not tried doing a laquer covered wrap even though I have an Edo era laquered paper/silk(?) tsuka that I am trying to figure out. Uroshi laquer is also not available in the US anymore due to import problems... the stuff is toxic, like condensed poison ivy sap... One of my next projects once I get all of the pieces together will use what I will hope be a favorable substitue for baleen but this will still take some time and experimentation. And yes that is me on Swordforum with the Toyama belts.

Makes: period looking weaponry for SCA combat. I also make armor out of 1050 spring steel. I specialize in custom gauntlets, but can make other items also. For example, splints for both cuisses and vambraces, elbow and knee cops. Can do some leather work(pouches, belts)
My LadyWife also does tablet weaving (trim, strapwork, garters, favors, and belts, in simple, doubleface, or brocade).

Wants: items appropriate for late 10th century Welsh and/or Varangian Norse personas. accessories(ie. jewelry: castings or beads), pottery feastgear, rattan swordfittings, riveted or welded maile to fit a 50" chest.
Also interested in 14th century German soft and hard kit items for male and soft kit items for female.

freiman makes;

6th through 11th century lyres and triangular frame harps, some really retentive leather working, early period unpainted flat shields (I know some painters), and general wood work (If you have a picture, I can probably make the wood parts). Some necked non period stringed instruments. Custom songs, of a "filky" nature. Don't laugh, they are well reviewed. I also make the occasional rattan weapon.

freiman wants;

Maile, finger gaunts that protect my hands, Baldar style polymer basket hilts, royal quality garb for myself and my wife, at 675 AD Anglo Saxon, Mercian. Early period fighting garb. Hidden legs that don't destroy my pants. General camp gear.
