Bought 2 sticks of shaved rattan, 2 sticks of the flat rattan and some thrusting tips.

The rattan came, nice straight sticks. I ordered 36" for all of the sticks the two flat ones were 42" when they got here. Maybe the rain made them grow, maybe he was out of 36 so upgraded, who can say. No problem there. The only downside in the whole thing is the thrusting tips. They got compressed pretty badly in shipping. They will probably come back to life eventually, but 5 days in and only 2 of them are even close to usable right now. No big deal. I'll definitely order sticks from him again but will probably go back to being less lazy and making my own tips.

Thank you for mentioning the tips. I didn't know they were getting compressed. I'll figure out a way to keep that from happening in the future.

Oh, and I grabbed the flat-sideds closest to the surface, I hadn't unpacked enough from Pennsic to get to the box of 36"-ers.

It makes it really tough for me. 42" is almost long enough for a short bastard sword. The temptation is too strong but I think I'll resist. I'll just have to order a longer one from you in the very near future. By way of an update on the tips, two are pretty much back to normal, one is really close, one is still pretty compressed and 2 the puppy got hold of. She's a huge fan.

Yeah, once one of our cats got a hold of a couple I had set out to take to a guy at our practice.
