looking to get this made

Post by aidanhroarsson »

Christmas is coming soon and I want to start now to look for "that perfect gift"... My Knight has a Romano-Celt persona and has, on occasion, hinted on a like for this style of belt. He has a 40" waist... Does anyone here make this, just as fancy, but with white leather and brass or bronze fittings? Or know of anyone that does?

This belt is called a "cingulum," and sometimes a "balteus." While there are several armorers on the archive who can make one well, you will also find options by putting these words into a google image search and clicking on the pictures you like.

You might want to run this by Mark over at Clang. He appears to have a pile of the appropriate hardware in stock:

I can supply the white belt, or can install the fittings drop shipped to me for a nominal fee. Your choice.

I don't know, I don't work for him- but it's worth asking.

I am quite sure that Raymond of Raymond's Quite Press also makes most of those fittings. Putting one of them together shouldn't be too hard...

I'm just wanting to have someone put it together for me... the project shop I have available to me is at my Knight's house... So putting it together and hiding it would be REALLY difficult.
@Klaus: how do I get a hold of him? but still open to other options...

Mark over at Clang Armory is a good guy. Does great work. Contact him via his web-site and let him know what your looking for/to do.

He may be able to help you out.
