I'm looking for a medium-ish long sleeve tunic maybe horseman's split, and would love an attached hood. Going for an early first crusader look, but having the darndest time finding ones with long sleeves. Anyone know of any good places?
I have been suggested to House Morningstar in the past and I love them, but not sure if they do long sleeves, so any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated!
Thanks!
WTB-LS tunic with hood...Suggestions?

Ya!
Minus the zip-neck, drawstring hood and baggy front pockets, but in essence...ya!

Or even just good tunics with long sleeves?
Thanks!

Zoom in on the picture.
The tunic/hood combo is actualy a haulburk with attched coif.
On the other hand long tunics did not change much untill the 1300's Makeing a seperate hood from the same material would be easier and more accurate. patterns for a generic hood and tunic are easy to find on google or through your local craft and fabric store patularly this time of year with more costume patterns in stock for halloween.

Making something like that out of linen, if you can sew, is surprisingly easy.
If you can't, or just don't want to deal with it:
linengarb.com
Pants, long sleeved tunics (just slit and hem the front if you really want), and soon hoods (not sure where he is what that).

Linengarb.com stuff has some visible machine stiching, but is otherwise very well constructed. Adric posts here on the archive. Historic Enterprises (historicenterprises.com) says it doesn't have any visible machine stiching -- I haven't seen their tunics, but their overall quality is very good.
The downside is that you are a smaller guy, and "one size fits all" will be big on you. I'd recommend making it yourself. It really is pretty easy.
I'd recommend that you get your linen from www.fabric-store.com and an inexpensive sewing machine. You'll need more than one tunic anyway, so you can always make what you need. A sewing machine and some basic sewing skills are good investments in this hobby.
