Hiyas AA folks. Recently got my heat going and oh man, what a difference. Am trying to see how long a bottle lasts so am hot raising a batch of frontal greaves. Using a pattern I have tinkered with a bit trying to combine look with the functionality of SCA combat. Kneeling is no problem at all. Pics are not showing completed greave, but the finished product will be sanded to satin, strapped, and a center crease. They are made from 16g mild as that is all I have right now. I know we don't like mild, but goodness did they turn out strong.
Was wondering if any of my AA brothers would be interested in a pair for $200 including shipping in the US. I know you can do better on price, but I feel they are a very quality product that should last you the life of your SCA or LH career. If I cant sell em, will donate to my Barony or let em rot in the scut pile. So, if anyone would like a set, PM me and the first three orders will be boxed and on their way this week. Therion has a set of cased on his site for $160, I can't touch that. If that is your cup of tea, betting he would love to hear from ya =)
Ideally fitting someone 5' 8" to 5' 10", 180-200 pounds with standard body dimensions. If you are freakishly built, let me know and it is no problem to tweak the pattern.
