Very nice, almost pass as viking/greek . Defiantly not as fantasy as I thought either. Seems to be a very sharp looking and functional helm 8)

There's absolutely nothing viking about that helm IMHO. It is however a very nice helm and not what I was expecting to see when I clicked the thread

SURE IT IS! That helm would have fit in perfect in the movie Pathfinder!

Thank you all for your find words.

I wonder what do you expected to see and how this helmet should have named?

Thank you.

well if i were going to call it raven i would expect some part to be black.
maybe the barbute but preferably the decor.
to me it kinda reminds me of an owl.
still great looking helm.
far better than most sca helms.

Is that leather sandwiched between the helm and the "raven" or another metal?

Blackened with either stainless or bronze behind the plate. That would be quite stunning.

Holy......Yeah. The blackened helm....oh my.....that's handsome! Reminds me only a little of "Hearts in Armor" and tempts me to make a new kit around it. Nicely done!
