Arming cotes- What colors do you want?
We are doing another run of the arming cotes and we are going to give you a chance to pick the colors that you would want. I will order the most popular colors in the sizes that you want.
So here is your chance of ordering the color and size you want.
What colors are you interested in? How many would you want and in what sizes?
I should have this order in my hands within about 3 weeks of ordering them.
Cheers!

Red is always good.
Is it possible to have them made with a little less padding/filling/stuffing.
I love my white one, but its a bit to heavy to wear under a good set of 14th century arms.

Ordering more red, black, red/black, blue
I can order with less stuffing if you all like that.
Any other color combinations? Blue/black? Brown/blue?

I'd probably pick up a solid black or brown one if it is less heavily padded than the old ones. I like the white one I bought. It fits well, but I do feel it's overly padded for anything but winter use. It also makes it a bit stiff all over. I've washed mine about 5 times, so I know it's not seizing.
I'm not sure how many layers are on them, but thinning it by nearly half wouldn't hurt in my opinion. Maybe keep the current thickness of padding on the chest and elbows.
I also decided to chop the collar off of mine and restitch it, since it just interferes with the helmet and gorget. Once again, just tossing in an opinion if you're thinking of a redesign.

Yep, what Cian said.
I wear my white as a "meet the Chiv" type of clothing due to its realitive thickness.
Also I wouldn't be opposed to putting some arming point holes in the arming coat, say four up near each side of the neck, four on the upper arm, four a little lower down near the elbow. I hate doing that crap on my own and I don't have the time nor the skill level to do it the right way so I'm always going back to my "nice" dressy arming coat and its starting to show the abuse.
You know Sir, I could use a party coloured one, half red half white. That would be most kick buttedness.
I got a large last time and it was just a TAD too large, so with less padding I may be able to get away with a medium.
If you go with less padding, I'd take at least one parti-coloured one, and probably one solid red one as well.

@Duke Icefalcon
I know a lot of people here highly suggest you. But you think you could say what the material/s for your arming cotes are on the site? I'm very interested in buying one from you, but one things throws me off a little, thats because I don't know what the material is

How about good old fashioned "Natural"?
All those pretty guys in the eastern European groups seem to have that gorgeous off white/natural look with just the right amount of dirt on them.

I will second the desire for a black one, with thinner padding. I want something that fits a bit tighter and a little thinner to go under all the other armor I am already wearing.

The materials ARE on the site. It might be hard to read but it is there. Just check out the description on each of the cotes. All of the shells are 100% cotton. The fill is a cotton/poly fill.
Cheers!

Your site says you use a poly fill, I thought you mentioned you use cotton. Is the site in error?

The coats are in now. I have some in black. The new batch is supposed to be less filling but I have not opened the boxes yet as I have been on duty and just got home. I am breaking them open at the shop today.

Will do. The new tips are experimental use only with your Kingdom Earl Marshal's permission. The Society Earl Marshall is liking them, so as long as he can get a concensus from the rest of the EM's they should be legal for Pennsic. I will throw one in with your cote order if you want to try it out.
The new coats will be lighter as they will have less of the fill but let me give you my opinion after I have them open.
See you soon, Brother!

Honestly, the cote is lighter weight but not significantly so that you would want to buy another for that reason alone. I might do another run (if there is interest) in a summer weight cote, with NO FILLING. If folks like this idea, I will get another order together. If I get enough to order by May, I will have them ready for Pennsic.
