So you used 550 cord. Pretty smart probalby allows the legs to move better than if on a leather strap.

Anyone else?

Mine inst a Pit-bull C belt, but it's shaped pretty much the same.

The style of legs I have all seem to have a buckle on the top point of the cuise, so on my belt I just ran a couple of straps down that the legs buckle into. I cant say I've had any problems with them as of yet.

yes i used 550 cord. keeps them really flexible and keeps the cbelt from binding when i am on my knees after getting legged.
on another note...Armourkris...those are some bad ass legs! make them yourself?

I make my own C belts but I also use cord to attach my leg armour them. Any cord will do really. I use shoe laces since the ends are already finished and they come in a variety of lengths.

Nice legs! Hope you do not mind a suggestion. Consider moving the strap carrying them from the belt to the point of your hip(the side of your leg). It will sit more naturally and not move up and down when you walk around. Pointed in the front tends to make the leg armour rise and fall as the leg moves foward and back. The distance between the belt and the bottom of the armour essentially gets longer and shorter as our leg&hip articulate.

Hi there, Thanks for the interest, These belts work good either with straps or pointed with ties.

Id like to second the recomendation of moving the straps to the side/hip area of the legs. Strapped in front, each step fights your movement and tries to pull the belt down. The up and down motion is minimized when you mount the straps to your hip area and lets you walk freely.

Let me know if I can be of any service,

Thanks

Pitbull

If you look at Varukh's pic, you'll see how the legs are pointed more to the outside of his hips, or over the hip socket. Looking at yours it appears that they are strapped more over the front of your pelvis. What they are saying is that if you were move the straps more to the outside of your hips, say around where the rivet on your jeans pocket is, it would be more comfortable and "user friendly" if you will and would keep the legs from tending to move up and down as you walk or fight.

hope that is clearer.. probably not..

that and it will keep your knee cops where they are supposed to be at all times....over your knee. With them strapped appropriately they will keep all points of your knee covered at all times no matter how you stand.

I have noticed that when I have legs strapped in the front they go up and down as I walk. I will try the hip thing. Does anyone have a good picture of that?

Damon, If you look at the pictures of my legs they're attached to straps that come down the front in line with the center of my thighs, but if you look at Varukh's they attach at the sided of the leg, over the hip socket. In my experience Varukh's method works better when you're going to be moving around in them a lot.
The only reason mine are strapped in the front and not the side is because they are based of a bunch of existent examples of the style, and almost every one I looked at had a buckle to suspend them at the top center rather than at the side.

any time Pitbull....that C-belt is one of my favorite pieces to date. Keeps my legs where they need to be while i am fighting. Hope you got some good use out of that chainmaille i traded you for it. I'm extraordinarily pleased with what i got out of the deal. :)
