WTB Finger Gauntlets for a large hand...

Hello good people of the Archive Classifieds -

After a long weekend of fighting, I have come to realize that my hourglass gaunts are too small, and do not have the 'wiggle room' needed for a swelling / sweaty hand to sustain 6+ hours of slap tag.

I have talked with Maxim @ Wild and Whonew about their offerings for a larger hand gauntlet, but am wondering what the collective opinion of other archivers is. Who makes the best "bear paw" finger gaunt?

Does anyone have a spare set they want to offer up in trade or sale? Anyone close by want to come over and show me theirs?

I have a set of blackened darkheart stealth wisby gaunts I was planning on selling, since they are too big for me. Def. an XL-XXL size. Some of the leather is a little worn, but they're still pretty.

What era? I have a set of LARGE Wisby style (Whonew) that are awesome, but a little on the big side for me.

Do you have a picture of your finger gaunts? I may be willing to trade you right up.

I love those gaunts, they are gorgeous! Mine are a perfect fit for my kit, since they are made by the same armourer and with the same accent pieces, so I am generally hesitant to trade them away...

How much would you look for those pictured $$ wise?

We make some nice hourglass style finger gaunts if you do not find what you are looking for.

Thanks, I've had them for about a year now, have done some SCA style fighting in them and have never had an issue.

Looking at the pictures you sent, I have the same exact gauntlets from Maxim, which I actually traded away when I got these, but now that I've moved to a much later kit (1390-1400), the Wisby's are just out of period, and I need to go back to the hourglass...
