Hourglass Gauntlets review and FS/Edit for sizing!

Post by archibald »

Recently I purchased a pair of hourglass Finger Gauntlets from member Jonathon Janusz as a back up pair because at the time it looked like my commissioned gauntlets weren't going to make it to me.
Well low and behold the armorer shipped and I received my custom stealth gauntlets TWO days before the back up pair came in the mail.

So as I do not need two pairs of gauntlets as much as the money I'm putting up my Stainless Steel Hourglass Gauntlets made by Armor and Casting Though they were used ONCE for jousting I purchased them for $300 shipping included. Pictures and more information can be found here: http://www.armourandcastings.com/index. ... oductId=95

This time I will auction them off with a starting price of $250 shipping included, Because of a recent tragic event to one of our member's family a portion of auction will be donated for child care.

Thank you for your time, feel free to ask any question really any question.

Come again.

P.S. Oh yeah, the review part!

Jonathon Janusz, was Great to work with! The gauntlets are just as he advertised and were shipped amazingly fast! If these weren't so nice and shiny I would be selling the stealth gauntlets!
Thanks Jonathon for a great transaction!!!

I noticed the web site says $100 extra for sca legal fingers. Should one assume these are not sca legal?

read above.
acording to sca rules the fingers DO NOT have to ground out on the weapon. if they dont they must have a specific amount of padding underneath the plates i believe its 1/8th inch but dont quote me on that right now.

The current regs state:

2. A gauntlet of rigid material, either lined with ¼ inch (6mm) of closed-cell foam or equivalent or designed to transfer potentially injurious impact to the surfaces being grasped.

3. A gauntlet of heavy leather lined with ½ inch (12mm) of closed-cell foam or heavy padding.
