Otto's Armoury Backorder List

Post by Otto »

***I'VE ADDED SELLING AS THE END POST ON THIS THREAD. 50% OF ALL SALES GO DIRECTLY TO REFUNDING BACK-ORDERS. THE BACK-ORDER LIST WILL BE UPDATED AS REFUNDS GO OUT.***

Ye aint gonna like it.

I will preface this by saying that many of the orders are very small, so the list isn't as bad as it looks, but it's still pretty awful and will keep me busy for a good while making good.

With that said, here it is...
Ben Gordon ***small refund pending*** ***$50***
Paul Thorne ***shipped 4-7-2011***
Chris Horne ***shipped 7-14-2011*** *** partial refund mailed 3-20-2014 - closed***

Katie Humphries ***shipped 11-25-2011***
Phules Gold Paintball ***shipped 11-7-2011***
Norsemaille ***confirmed shipped/received, 2009 date unknown***

I think there's a name or two on there that doesn't belong and some names appear more than once as they added on small items to their order at a later date.

Thank you Otto.

Transparency is best in a situation like this.

I certainly feel a lot better knowing where I am on the list.

Keep plugging away.

Best wishes

Nice job Otto, way to get it all out on the hood. I think this thread is going to save you alot of time answering, where am I on your list questions, and whether people like it or not they will feel better being able to see where they are. Keep up the good work.

Take care

Good on you, Otto. I know it must have been scary to air your laundry in public, but all people really want is honesty. You'll feel better, and everyone who's been asking for that list already feels better!

Chello!

Thanks, Otto. People fear what they don't know. I think as long as people can go, "Well, I'm #20 on the list," and then see that you are sending product out that they feel more secure.

Again, thank you.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Walking away was NEVER an option. Unless I was unable to work or just plain deceased it wouldn't be right. I'm slow and a bad businessman... but not a thief.

Thanks for the kind words all.

Well done!

I hope that your example will inspire other armourers who gets in over their heads that it is possible to work their way out again.
Respectfully, Armand

I don't use that email all that often anymore but I logged in randomly today and sent you a message back. I hope I didn't slow things down for anyone else waiting on their armour.

The list just shows all the orders chronologically.
Note, I did add Ben Gordon's small refund pending at the front to remind me that it is still needed. This listing is as much for my benefit as everyone else's.

Phule's Gold actually is 6th from right now as Mr. Thorne and Mr. Gordon have had their armour sent out. Mr. Moorman will be going out on Monday, so the list is moving, if slowly.

Ok thank you. It just got a lil confusing for a bit. Also, not sure if Coenred updated you with our new address. We bought a house last year and not sure if he gave you the new address. If you have Lugoff, SC then you have the right one.. if not let me know so I can get you the right one. Our old one was Columbia, SC .. when he ordered we were in TX at ft hood so you started with a Copperas Cove, TX addy hehe

Chief, I will make sure to double check your shipping info before sending your order. Presently, I'm out of 14 gauge, so I'll be doing the smaller items first and trying to make a bit of cash to replenish my steel.

Well, I can finally say I have received my order.

Communication - Poor does not describe it.
Price - Now that I actually have a product it was a great price for what I've received.
Quality - Better than I expected for the price, good finish and sizing. Maybe a little clean up on some edges nothing major for certain.
Delivery - Well, it got here.
Return Business - I will surely do some in stock purchases from Otto again, I'd be hesitant to custom order anything until he has cleared up his back orders and shown a better track record.

I don't want to sound condescending but I'm proud that Otto is making strides in doing the honorable thing and fulfilling his end of the transaction. I'm reminded of the term "There but by the Grace of God go I". We all make mistakes and we've all had to pay the piper some time or another. How we deal with it shows the character of man that we are. I hope that things continue in this direction and that all customers are eventually satisfied with the outcome. Otto has some talent in the armor making side of things, it would be a sad loss for all of us if he doesn't continue on.

Otto,

Looks like I'm next on the list there. I don't mind people who plan to fight in their gear being moved above me. I purchased for the Shire loaner gear, so i can wait.

Also, when you do get to my order, my address has changed, so please contact me for more info.

Cheers,

1 month and 3 days is hardly... "almost 2 months since the last one". Just sayin...

Keep it up Otto... each order out is one less...
