Any chance you could convert your knowledge into a tutorial ala Mad Matt or Talbot? Only material requirements would be in an item you could then market or fulfill from your backlog.

I guess the note to you from the editors was unclear. You are to stop attempting to sell armour on the classifieds page, completely. The only reason you are allowed to update this particular thread is to update your backorder list.

Please revert the title to it's previous subject line, and stop attempting to use this thread as a spot to sell your armour.

Actually Broadway, JT's message to me states that I AM allowed to offer items for sale in the back order thread and that 50% of any such sales had to go toward repaying back orders.

The point is rather moot as no one looks at this thread to buy things and no one has contacted me here on the archive to buy anything in quite awhile.

Attempting to sell things by tacking them on to the end of this thread is an utter waste of time.

Ok so I wrote a PM to JT and have no reply after several days, so I am posting this here.

Preface: Don't take this as me standing up for or defending Otto

BUT

Why is it that Otto's ability to sell items on this forum is being supressed by the Owner/Mods and others who have much longer standing, larger obligations are still able to sell on the forum AND/OR sell items through other people?

I'm not naming names but you likely know exactly who I am talking about.

This is patently unfair to Otto or anyone else for that matter, why are others who are in deeper than he, longer, getting what amounts to preferential treatment?

Otto owes me for two pieces of armor, and I'm ok with him selling on the board as long as he is making effort towards fulfilling it. And if he's slow due to the crappy economy, then that's a understandable reason. If Otto is chased off and can't pay his bills, he won't pay be to pay anyone back either.

Actually, I've sent out a couple refunds in the last few days but haven't updated the list yet.

The mods have chosen to place restrictions on my selling... it's their board, their rules, I'll be happy to abide by what they tell me.

I have been very slow/had a hard time cleaning up from my '09 meltdown. The mods are just trying to make sure no archivers get in that mess again.

I will respect their wishes and how they deal with other folks is their business, not mine.

No, it hasn't gone well.
Ice storm followed by snow storm with 15" of snow and add in my father's passing and I haven't been able to get to my shop for almost 2 weeks.

I'm hoping to do well on taxes and use some of that potential money for cover some refunds.
