Anyone have pics of his long and short aventails in use? My brother and I are grabbing my dad one as a present (shh, keep a secret), so need some comparison shots.

I have one of his aventails on my shovelface, and I love it. It looks good and the chain actually soaks up more of the force from a shot than you would think.

Nice kits Greenshield, but I beleive Knuuts short aventail is just the mantle of an aventail like in this image, Image
and the long aventail is what you have on both those helms.
For a while he has an xl long aventail, the same height as the tall aventail, but much bigger around.
Long aventails are tall enough to meet the brow line of a helm, while short will reach the bottom edge of a helm.

That's sort of the summary I was getting from reading his site, thanks for the visual. Helps sort stuff out a lot.

I used one of knut's large flat ring welded stainless steel aventails on this helm:

The helm on the left has one of Knut's old round ring stainless steel aventails that's at least 10 years old and has yet to loose a link.

I would buy from him again without hesitation. :D
