Guys,

For those that know him, Medium Rory's Armor has been stolen.

I will try to get pics as soon as possible, but it was stolen less than 18 hours ago.

Out of his home. In Larned, Kansas, near Great Bend.

Sorry, Maeryk, but the idea was that anybody within the search area would know Rory by name.

But, here are pics of the helm. Rory would very much like to have it back. As far as I know, all of the local pawn shops and the local LEO's have been informed, but, you know how this sort of thing works. Ideally, we would like to get this helm back as quickly as possible.

People that steal armour should be treated like people that stole from the nobility in the 14th century...


Just a note, make sure you check your local Craigslist and Ebay...

Yeah, keep an eye on cragslist and ebay. A friend of mine had his Les Paul stolen, and found it on cragislist for $200....needless to say he wasn't happy(the guitar is worth a number well above that). The police managed to find the guy, and return his girlfriend.

Best of luck, I'll do my best to scour ebay. Really nice helm, hopefully he gets it back, and soon.

Check pawn shops too.
Also antique shops and flea markets.
I've found SCA armor at all of those in the past.

Funny story actually. He spent about 4 months saving the money for it, busting his ass, doing whatever he could to get the money to buy it. Then for the next 6 months, he disappeared. He was living in a dilapidated(100 year old+) farmhouse with a burnt out hippy, no job. When the friend walked in to where he was living, he was asleep, guitar in hand, spooning it. Hell was given about how he was neglecting us for his "new girlfriend." The irony is that the damn guitar is electric, and the house didn't have any electricity.

Fortunately we got his priorities re-aligned, and he ships out for basic in August.

Sucks that it got stolen and I really hope that it turns up, but leaving it in the back of the truck wasn't the safest storage.

Unless I'm missing something, Freiman said "from his home".

Got a cross post to our kingdom list about it this morning. It said back of his truck.

That's the third armor theft in the KC area in the last month or so.

It is a couple miles from there, and a mixed value neighborhood. There are some bad neighborhoods within a couple block.
