looking for a youth combat helmet.

so my son needs a new helmet for youth combat.
i would like to get him something alittle more historicly acurate than a hockey helmet.
i know people make them but i have had the hardest time either getting messages returned or finding an acceptable price.
dont get me wrong i do believe in paying for craftsmanship but i dont want to pay as much as a helm for heavy combat when he will eventually grow out of it.
any help with contacts or resources would be great. and before anyone asks no making one myself is not an option.
some of us are less skilled in certain areas than others.

Btw leather or aluminium would be prefferable.

Try Bokalo. I had seen some youth helmets in his shop at Pennsic a few times. I'm sure he's got a few lying about.

As of recently, he's not going that route any time soon... I had a sit down conversation on this very topic. you could still try though...

I just got one of these for my pell that might work. They had other styles with visors.
