Hello to the list.
I am in search of someone who is making leg armour with springsteel.
I am looking to lighten my Kit but still keep the correct look.

Re: ISO 14th Century Italian Legs
Hi,
I would suggest Hammerbreaker. He works in spring steel. Here's an attached picture of the spring steel legs he's currently building for me. They are based on the ones in leeds and churburg. I haven't handled them in person yet but they do look good so far.
Cheers,
Max

I am. Don't have any pics of any high end stuff yet but can do it. Also have a short queue and no payments till the order is complete with pics for approval before payment.

Has anyone seen Hammerbreaker lately?

Re: ISO 14th Century Italian Legs
Hammerbreaker did my cased greaves and I've been squirreling away cash here and there in hopes of him doing my legs too. Top knotch.
Having said that, if Matt had been taking orders back I very well may have gone with him.

All of those are good work. Nice form.
You could talk to Tom Justus too. He definitely works in spring, does a lot of work for the SCA and is pretty close to you - just down in NC. Sometimes actually being close enough for fittings can help a lot.
He posts here and does more on Facebook.

Hi Patrick,
Sorry go slightly off topic here but I am very excited about my new armour. It's all C60 spring steel and for SCA use, so it might be of interest to you. I'll be driving over and pick it up roughly next month, hopefully in time for Nibelungen Krieg, so I'll do a full review then.
Hi Guillaume,
You don't see Hammerbreaker posting here anymore. Mostly due to a full backlog as far as I can discern.
Here are some sneak peeks.
