When one gets paid in Paypal money, how does one go about getting cash from said account?
Do you just transfer it over to your linked account?

You can transfer it into a bank account, which usually takes a couple of days, or you can get the paypal debit card.

or buy things with it online.
I normally transfer most of mine to my bank
I do use it to pay for shipping of stuff I sell, tonight I have a forge and a large firebox to book for collection in the morning plus another urgent parcel to go.
I spend a small amount directly on things I need.

When you transfer it to your bank account do they skim a precentage off the top?
Is it tough to do?

Good luck getting any customer service from PP.
They screwed me out of about a hundred bucks a few years ago and I never got anything but a form email.
Two of three people selling stuff on the AA have not gotten my business because they prefer or insist on PP.

They only skim off the top when you receive monies.
Transfer to your bank has no service charge.
They have a standard $500.00 a month limit if you don't change it.
I think that is to keep strangers form draining your paypal over night.
I would suggest you open a separate bank account just for paypal.
One would not want their household account tied up in litigation.
Hal, who has had good dealings with paypal.
It certainly facilitates international transactions.

Thank you Hal, good advice.
I like it a lot, but the precentage kills me sometimes.
I've got money in PP and a vendor who does not accept it, so now I am scrambling to figure out how to transfer it!

Like Hal said, no fee to transfer it to the bank account. It does however take 3-5 bidness days. It's been a while since I did it, because I got sick of waiting and got their debit card, but it always seemed like it was fewer bidness days if you did it over a weekend. I'd transfer stuff to the bank on monday, and it would not clear till Friday. Transfer stuff Friday morning and it was cleared on monday. Strange.
If I frememberate right, PayPal themselves only charge $1 to pull cash off the debit card. I have however yet to find an ATM that wants less than $3 for same, making my total fee at least $4.
I won't swear that there isn't a fee, but I've yet to see one for using the debit card for purchases.

I haven't ever been charged a fee by paypal to use the card as a debit or credit card.
