WTB/WTT for Rivited chainmail haulbrek and coif
WTB/WTT for Rivited chainmail haulbrek and coif
I have been considering getting into SCA for a few years and am finally free to do so (got divorced
) so im looking for a chainmail kit from around 12th century england I would prefer rivited. I will have a more steady income in a month but I figured id see who makes really good maille kit and get a quote. I am a amateur blacksmith and would be willing to discuss trading custom forged items, tools, etc in return for price reduction if the kit maker would like to pursue that route.

His Grace beat me to it.. I was going to recommend him as he can fit you out from Head to toe for a proper 12th maille look..

One is 9mm in diameter and the other is 6mm in diameter. The 6mm is very dense and fine. It is more period for early period personas through the dark ages. There are many more and smaller links and rivets, so it is more expensive to produce. If you are looking to have basic chainmail for the SCA, the 9mm will serve you well. If you are looking for some hardcore period maille, then 6mm might be better for your needs.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Cheers!
