I know it's possible to tailor it to the female form. Offering it in a kit to fit the wide variety we see (and love) in the fairer sex would require a lot of fore-thought in the patterning. It isn't like with the guys where say 4 sizes pretty much covers the vast majority of us.

If you have the kit you can size it yourself, and it should fit the female form just fine. The female form still needs the same measurements the male form needs. Armor needs to fit well, not accentuate the form. Just pay attention when you build it.

Ooh! Instructions!
Assembly instructions that included advise on how to adjust the fit would be awesome.

I never stay in one place for three of my opponent's blows. I also never let my opponent throw three unanswered blows. Standing in front of your opponent lets him perfect his pell technique. Most fighters are very good against a pell. - Duke Gyrth

Re: Market survey : COP kit prototype
Thanks for all the input everybody! I'm definately convinced that there is enough interest. I'm continuing to work on this.
18g mild, 18g stainless, and aluminum were the most popular choices from the posts, pm's and emails I read. More than likely the aluminum (.080 or 0.090 thick) will be the first one available.
I don't have a definite timeline for the kits at this time. I'm planning on proofing the pattern first. Then the shoulders are next. I'll probably release the kit without patterns or instructions first, so that those that don't need them can still start assembly. I'll add patterns or instructions afterwards as needed.
I've had a few questions about this kit for larger people. I plan on having expansion plates available for sale so that the base kit can be made larger.

Our experiences with the female form must differ.

My issues are with sizing to the gender, and not sizing to the person. The differences are just as graphic between individuals as the are between genders. A COP doesnt really need to consider the feminine form, just whether it fits and protects. The shape isn't made to be flattering.
