What periods can get away with bazu bands? I'm going Viking, and was just wondering. Especially after I saw a set at Val Day (forgot the armourer - sorry). They had brass etching and rosettes or other decorations along them. Maybe too pretty to fight in, but I thought I would buy a nice plain set since I'd like to learn to do the brass work myself.
