Stainless Helm Alteration Needed

I have a helm that I got a couple of years ago from an armourer who shall remain nameless that decided to "try something new" on my order. I was decidedly underwhelmed and getting it altered to what I asked for was not an option with this armourer if I wanted to see my helm again in the next year or so, if I got any reply back at all.

What I need is someone who works in stainless who can cut down an ocular (faced with brass) so long it verges upon looking like a duck's bill and weld on an additional stainless bar to fill in the gap. The entire helm is stainless, including the rivets, and most of the armourers I know of around here lack the equipment to work anything harder than mild steel.

Please let me know if there's anyone here who can make this alteration for me and how much you will charge or trade for it.

Many thanks,
Grainne

Riveting the bar inplace would be easier and cause less damage to the helm and would be easier to do than welding.

Have you tried contacting IceFalcon or Westlig Stjerne? They both work in stainless and may be able to help.
