GAMES WORKSHOP BONANZA

Post by schreiber »

Don't know if this is where this belongs... seemed better than the off topic posts, even if it is non- armor related. Editors feel free to move/ remove as nec.

My brother in law is quitting Games Workshop and moving. He has a ROOM FULL of stuff that has to go. If you play, there's something (likely a lot of somethings) in this stash for you.

Email me at i8emall@aol.com with questions. I can't let it go for nothing, since he's got enough stuff here to pay for a tent, a gothic fluted kit, and probably furniture too. But it'll go for far less than retail.

This stuff will eventually come up on Ebay, but I figgre'd I'd give you guys first crack.

Here's the email I sent to those responding:

Most of what he has is not in boxes. He has a lot of loose metal (don't know
about you guys, but I prefer metal over plastic with things other than
armor...)

He THINKS that he's going to keep all of his Empire (both fantasy and 40k),
all of his skaven, and all of his space marines. I know this isn't true,
since he's moving into a house with no room and his s*** isn't going in my
house. That and he's supposed to be giving up the habit.

So, there's a smattering of everything else... most of what's available is
loose metal. There are a good number of new space orks, old tyrranids,
lizardmen (fantasy), chaos marines, chaos dwarves (fant.), and eldar (40k).
He also has a BUNCH of scenery and books which he thinks he's keeping...

In any case, it's going to be this weekend before I'm 100% sure what's
available. I've saved your email addresses, and will be in touch.

I also forgot to mention in the email that some of it is in various states of paint.

Oops... forgot that games workshop isn't a store... that's games&gizmos that SELLS games workshop. Silly me.

Yeah, Rigger 3 is out, but very hard to get. They printed half of a print run. According to a friend of mine, they clarified MIJI rules, and there's lots of new vehicles, etc. I don't really care about the new vehicles; I build everything from the ground up. Takes forever, but I end up with the best vehicles on the road.

Any medieval- or renaissance-era miniature wargame rules? Like Armati or DBR/DBM/DBA? I'd be quite interested in those.

Just GW this go around... and there are plenty of GW stores.

I personally have been waiting to find someone to play DBA or Hordes of the Things with, so I have an excuse to finish painting my Macedonians and Dwarves...

In any case, I'll post/ email as soon as I know exactly what's up for sale.
