I NEED TO BE BOUGHT OUT!

Post by Bertram Entwessell »

I'm having some financial difficulties right now. I need to sell all my armour to keep food in my mouth and a roof over my head.

I am 5'10", 180 lbs, shoe size 11, 23.5" head. "Medium" sized for most things.

http://www.geocities.com/foomgrind/main.html

The bascinet is by White Mountain Armoury and has a chinstrap installed. Some foam padding duct-taped in.

The Pembridge is by Melchoir (I think). Very historical. 14 ga steel. Unstrapped and unpadded.

The mail coif has small diameter rings and is well made by some unknown person.

The gorget and COP (made from kit) are by GAA.

The arming coat was made by Gaston. Very nice, very unique item.

The elbow cops, knee cops, and spaulders are by Armourer Eric. I did the rest of the work on the limb armour. Vambraces are 16 ga steel, legs are leather with AL splints.

The greaves and sabotans are by Westlig Stjerne.

The mitten guantlets are by Illusion Armoury, size "M".

The half gauntlet was made by a local armourer.

The 2 basket hilts (with rattan swords attached) are by Mandrake and Westlig Stjene.

The heater shield is home made out of AL. Slight curve. Fabric cover.

I need to get $1000 for all this stuff together. If it becomes apparrent that there are no takers, I'll split the items up and put them on eBay.

If you do end up splitting the set, I'd be interested in the greaves and sabatons, especially if they're Stainless.

I'd be interested in the Basket Hilts with or without the attached rattan swords..I'm willing to bet you'll make considerably more cash off this stuff by selling it piecemeal on ebay.

jut my opinion though...I've been in a spot where I needed cash for food/rent etc...and just want to see you get the most for your stuff....but if you put it on ebay, let us know its there. Image

If you split it up, I'd be KEENLY interested in the bascinet. For the right price, I'll take it off your hands immediately. I seldome bid on ebay anymore. Let me know at morganbuchanan@hotmail.com if you have a price in mind. If you'll take paypal or billpoint, I'll pay you immediately.

I've got one of those GAA gorgets, they are the best. if you do split things up, I'll take it off your hands. Sorry to hear about your financial troubles, BTW.

Sorry to hear of your difficulties Bert. Great to see you have the wisdom to take care of problems in the real world over our game (you can always put together a better rig later).

FYI: Bought out commonly refers to paying bar fine on prostitutes in Thailand. I almost bust a gut laughing when I saw that post.
