Man that is pretty nice even with the bargrill, but would be even nicer without.

Helm look sweet.

*wondering what favors I have to do for my wife so she'd let me buy it*

I just put a bid over the 100.00 mark for ya. I am the current high bidder. I could not use it for the joust but it needs to be higher on the bidding for such work. I hope it goes over 300.00 good luck.
Heck if I do end up getting it I will have to get a nice bevor so I can joust in it. That means more money! AAAHHH

The Grill work can come off. It would'nt kill me to clip it loose and buff down the insides so it would be safe. It would sadden me yes but not kill me or the helmet.

I don't know why someone couldn't joust in it? Is the gauge of steel to high? Dose it need reinforcement in the visor area? Just a question, I have no real intention of modifying it past removing the grill work if the buyer wishes me too.

And it fits my 25" mellon so most others should be fine. I used liberal padding the few times I used it and felt totally secure and safe. It dosn't ring horribly like some of these do either.

And oh yea,...

I do brass and stainless pierce work and could modify it if the buyer wanted to pay for it.

And...

I could also construct a bevor if you so desired Stephen and thanks for the bid. I know I hope it goes higher too considering how many hours it took, plus materials and powder coating. (and how much I need the money for books!)

I would think just removing the grill and replacing it with a bevor woud be all ya need to make it good for the joust. For the full plate joust I would makes the oculars much thinner but for the shsield joust it looks fine.
Oh yea, I am again the high bidder ;-)

If my wife would allow it I'd be bidding right there with you Stephen..

My wife said I've bought enough "toys" for a while though..

Damnit.

Seriously though.. That helm is absolutely georgeous. Well worth whatever Sterling can get for it.

Thank You for your bids guys! The helm is just over 300.00 sumolions now. I wasn't too worried, it is a nice helm. At least now I will be able to pay my rent, well mostly anyway!
