Andrea,
There are several postings (some older ones) of excellent ones you can make with a 2x4, some PVC pipe and a little ingenuity.
Sir Diomedes Sebastianus offered this a few years ago. A simple base would adapt this nicely for indoor use.

Also your type of armour will affect a bit the type of stand you need.
Good luck,
Glaukos

And, if you're looking for one on the cheap, it'd be hard to beat this:

niether of your links work =(
Re: WTB cheap but decent armor stand
Andrea, they work fine...maybe just not for you. Those two sites might be blocked for you. I clicked the first link and it redirects you to facebook so I'm assuming his wares are situated for perusal on FB. Mine is just ebaY so you should be able to access it as long as you can access ebaY.

First link wants me to log into facebook, second link works for me. It's an ebay auction, $25, wooden stand.

Donal Mac Ruiseart has a nice one that he built. I'm sure he could help you out if you sent him a message.

Re: WTB cheap but decent armor stand
Different sort of armour, but I built an armour stand from busted pallets and a few scrounged screws with literally nothing but my SOG Tool (leatherman-type thingy) when I was in Tallil. If I had had a proper saw, a drill, and some sandpaper it would have been a beautiful piece of furniture - remember, when your armor is on it, not much of the stand itself would be seen...
