WTB Livery collar

Post by Michael Cartwright »

Hi all,

I'm interested in if anyone can put one of these together in black leather with either brass or pewter letters forming a latin motto "Visio mihi, visio Nex" and a pendant as per my avatar hanging from the trefoil link

http://albionworks.com/metalwork.html

Reference link for those with questions.

http://www.theheraldrysociety.com/artic ... collar.htm

I'm not able to contact Albionworks as their e-mail does not work, but apparently they stopped making these a year ago.

Price I'm willing to pay is negotiable according to the level of awesome and the time frame involved.

Many thanks in advance.

Edit- I've now managed to e-mail Albion, it was my browser having a hissy, not their e-mail...

Here's some cool strapends set up for links....

Here's some spiffy square chain....

The divider...

That covers everything but the pendant.... which I am afraid will need to be custom made. Are you going to enamel in your colors or do you just want the shield with etched Chevrons?

I'd recommend a thin (4-5 oz) leather as a "core" and garment/glove quality pigskin on the outside.

Still wanting this made for you or do you have it covered?

Cheers

You dude, are awesome...

I'll rummage thought the links you have very kindly provided but as I am short on time I'd still be interested in hearing from anyone with the ability to make one.

But I was thinking of enamel infills on the pendant.

Thanks again!

sorry thank you PatternWeld for this leg work, i've had the idea to make one of these livery collars for over a year, but not the impetus has struck me to get a move on! Thank you for your search skills!

I've been delving these sites for buckles for the Breast & Back that another archiver is finishing for me.

It just "clicked" that I had seen those and had to surf Revival, Bymyhand, Historic Ent., Talbot's Fine Accesories, ArmourandCastings, Billie&Charlie, Jelling Dragon and a couple of Dutch and Spannish sites I can't recall now to find em again.

I've been contemplating a hip belt to help round out the kit and was looking at letters to do the "virtues" on it to remind myself of the values we idealize in common.

You are most welcome.
