Celata still available

I bought this celata made by Sir Donngal from Windrose maybe five years ago as an impulse buy for a harness I never got around to making. It is mild steel with an industrial blackend finish. Brass rosettes and trim with etching. I don't know what gauge it is. I'll find some calipers to measure later. Medium size. The celata is about 26.5" around the brow measured from the inside of the helmet. 9.5" front to back and 7.5" side to side. My head is 21.5" and I am guesstimating this will fit around a 23" head. It has never been strapped or worn. Mostly I looked at it like it was an expensive vase. $900 includes shipping in the continental US.

Next, a pair of 14g stainless legs and greaves that have seen hard use. I believe the original owner got them from Revival. He added stainless wrap plates for additional protection. I added a bunch of scratches, dents, and a crack to the knee cop. I have had the crack on the knee welded and ground down but the repair aint pretty. I'm 5'5" and 180 pounds but I have freakishly long femurs. So these are more likely to fit someone 5'10"ish I would guess. The greaves wouldn't work in combination with the legs for me, so I ground out the greave pin and rounded off the edges of the greaves where they came into contact with my turnshoes so they would fit my short person. Measurements of cuisses and greaves in the pictures. Let me know if you need any others. $125 includes shipping in the 48. SOLD to lordnugg

I bought these stainless couters second hand about three years ago, but they were new and never used at the time, and I haven't strapped or used them either. I believe they were made by Jackie at Shamrock. They are small, about 5" across. Let me know if you need additional measurements. $50 includes shipping in the 48. SOLD and shipped

This is a medium sized mild spring breastplade made by Murdoch. It needs to be de-rusted and restrapped. I'm about a 42" chest and a 34" waist. Some measurements are shown in the pics and more are forthcoming this evening. It does have a small dent on the top left near the rolled edge and a good size crease / dent on the lower left hand side.

Dibs on the breastplate pending additional measurements- I'd like to know the width across the chest. Is that 16 gauge?

Any possibility of getting a measurement on the elbows ala Stonekeep's system? http://spiers-saddlery.stores.yahoo.net/elbows.html

If so, dibs on a friend's behalf.

Not sure what gauge. Maybe Murdoch remembers? Its about 9" across at the top and then tapers to 11" further down the chest. It is about 22 1/2 around under the arms and 20" at the narrower bottom. Hope that helps.

Your friend needs to be a scrawny guy or woman under 200 pounds for these elbows to fit. I don't really undertstand the Stonekeep thing. Won't that just give you the measurement of my arm with whatever elbow pad I am wearing? Does a straight across measurement help? If so, http://i923.photobucket.com/albums/ad72 ... 214623.jpg

Sorry, Adamo, the precious is mine! Seems like a perfect fit for me by the numbers. (However, it means I'll be de-accessioning my old one soon, if you're interested...)

Jess, sold. Paypal?

He's scrawny, but lanky as hell. I'll check with him in the morning.

Dibs for elbows are off. He's worried his elbows would be too boney for them

Gah! That helm is exactly what I have been hunting for but far beyond my price range, don't suppose you'd take a trade of my Turkish helm and some money on the side?

The helmet is still available, but I am certain it is heavier than 16 g. It is a high end helm made for SCA. Just using a ruler and measuring the thickness at the face with a ruler where it is visible, it is maybe 2.5 mm and thinner towards the tail at 2mm. Of course the way it is worked, I would think it might be thinner towards the edge. I'm guessing it is 12 g at the skull and 14g at the bottom.
If you are still intetested, let me know your prefered shipping carrier and I will get a shipping estimate. I will give you $50 credit towards the shipping. You pay whatever it costs to ship over $50.
