Review: Silverthorne Armoury

Post by Guest »

I just received an apron I bought from Silverthorne Armoury (AKA Taltosh)and I wanted to post a small review. Of course for most people here at the archive who know Chris, there will not be any great revelations because we all know he is a gem. ;-) (Sorry, I just had to get that in). For the others, here's the review.

Very good customer service, fast delivery, and a very good product. The apron fit's perfectly, is made of nice thick brown leather with two big pockets in the front. It is also very sturdy (all the seams are glued as well as sewed) and the price is very reasonable. I would highly recommend Chris if you are in the market for a leather apron or any other leather work for that matter.

Was this a leather work apron? If so, for what kind of work, and how much was charged? I might consider such a thing to use in my workshop... I've been through a few cotton ones over the years. Leather might hold up better.

Otto,

Yes the apron is to work in the shop, including welding eventualy. I wasn't so much tired of going through cotton aprons as to what was going through them and then poor old me.;-)

The price was $50 US including shipping (but I am in Canada, like Taltosh).

If you want I could take some pics tomorrow and e-mail them to you.
