Eh, they're NOT the Kias of the bow world. You can get a LOT worse bow than a flagellum dei.

Rus,

You don't have to convince me. I think I got a really great bow for a incredible price. Shoots straight and flat. And doesn't stack at all. Hell, I thought they sent me the wrong bow when I got it. It shoots like a 35lb bow, not a 67lb bow.

I took it to my local bow shop. I live in WV. Bow hunting is a religion here, and recurve is making a serious comeback here. And we have some serious world class and famous bow hunters here (including the guy who owns the local shop). He thought the bow was freaking incredible. Admittedly he wasn't familiar with horsebows, more of a recurve guy, but he thought it was great and ordered one of his own not to long afterwards. Then I told him how much I paid for it, and he almost had a heart attack.

My point to Grimr/Patternweld is that it is not a custom hand made high end high dollar bow. But it is a very solid bow that I am VERY satisfied with, and I would recommend to anyone. Quality to dollar spent, I don't think I have seen a better deal in the bow world. But I admit, I am not an expert there. Not a newbie, not an expert :) Just my opinion.

That's one of the great undersung advantages of a bow with a good kasanlik. It's *easy to shoot.* Even when I was "tuned into" the hungarian warbow up above, I felt like a wimp trying to pull my neighbor's 50lb stickbow.
