I'm willing to take it on. If you can get someone to make the plates I can do the [welded] maille.

That is an Ottoman Krug, named after the tribe that started that style of armour before they were taken over by the Ottoman Empire.

Also, Shark Armoury on FB has the patterns for a Krug set, actually Shark and I worked to set up the pattern for the plates. He is out of the Tampa area. I just didn't have anybody to do the chainmail part.

I've worked with Jackie before and I'm dying to try this out. Can you send me your measurements? I need the following:

Chest
Armpit Width
Sleeve Length
Bicep
Head Size
Length from armpit to bottom hem.
Also, I'll need the estimated area or size of the plates.

In addition, what ring size and profile do you prefer? I have punched / welded square stainless in 1/4" in stock. I've used in the past 5/16" x 0.048" in spring stainless and in titanium, but can get other sizes as well.

If you can give the the above I'll give you a quote for the chainmail part. I'd recommend Shamrock Armory or Duke Icefalcon for the plates. Even though this would be a first for me I'll guarantee fit as well, even if it takes several shipments back and forth (which I'll cover).

Two things:

1. This looks like a mirror armor (or something close to it) as a layer over a mail shirt. Are you looking for both, because the mail + plates thing is way easier. I'm not sure if that's actually the case, or the sleeves and lower body are built into the mail shirt like the Mughal mail and plates stuff I've seen.

2. I do welded mail, too, and I also have about 80 lbs. of 16 gauge mild steel sheet I'm not doing anything with. I've done stainless welded mail but I'm not 100% happy with the results ATM. And I don't have a bunch of stainless steel sheet lying around taking up space.

I don't know exactly what you have in mind but the cheapo route would be to have someone make a mail + plate vest or breastplate and wear that over Indian riveted chain. I know that in the East they liked to layer their armour but I'm not well-versed in who wore what.
