F/S or F/T - Blackhorse Armoury Helmet

Post by PatternWeld »

Maybe a better title should be "Grimr can't keep nice things."

This Helmet was made by Master Armourer & Jouster, Bart Remling.

This particular helmet was used on the Modern Marvels "Built by Hand" episode!! and can even be seen in the promotionals for the show.

I aquired this helmet directly from Bart. It is not perfect as it has been fought & jousted in. Couple minor dents and stripes from being hit by steel weapons. The helmet is 14 guage steel, true heat blued with a steel cross. It is made for a large head, fits me a little loose and I am 24" around the brow.

Here's Pictures

Have to admit, my $ is a little tight right now and this helmet goes with none of the kits I have or am working on.

Please feel free to PM me offers of purchase or trades but honestly, I won't let this one go cheap not only because of how nice it is but also because it has got airtime.

Regards,

Grimr

Lots of views, no PM's.

You know you want this helmet

There's tons of stuff I still want or need that I will trade for. Paypal works good too.

My two main kits are 1370 ish Flemish & 900 ish Varangian.

I need good hidden arms, hidden leggs & shoulders for the Varangian kit. I do NOT want hardened leather. Aluminum or splint is spiffy.

I need Padded Chausses to wear under my leg armour & greaves. I would like stainless flat ring Chausses.

Have a nice Mongol laminated Horsebow? (45-55lbs preferred)

I need non combat stuff too... Got a take down bed frame I can toss a Twin size memory foam mattress on? A Trestle table? A decent sunshade? I need spiffy period garters, a plaque belt, a period belt purse and a hat for the 1370 kit.

I only put this down to stimulate trade offers and give folks an idea of what I'm most after.

That said... I am an Armour whore

I just love well shaped steel. So even if its not on my list and its spiffy I may be interested.

You may notice that no weapons are listed and thats because I can make my own... but if you have something nice... well it may just trip my fancy. I really like the work of Kirby, Atar, Albion (Especially Jody Samson's work), Raven Armoury... higher end stuff.

Bump while I get ready to leave tomorrow.

This helm would go very nice with the blackened stuff Armourer Eric has up for sale right now.

Helm is in discussions. I'll be getting measurments on the eyeslots today for an interested jouster.

I figured this helm would generate more interest having been made for a popular TV show & getting airtime not only on the show but on promo's as well.
