Maille scraps for trade

Post by Brodir »

About two years ago I blew my birthday money on about 8000 aluminum 14 gauge 3/8" rings from The Ring Lord. My plan was to make one of those mantle-shirts for boffer fighting, which I never finished assembling. So, I'm offering it up for trade. Included is:

*One rectangular patch, about 25"X9"

*One mantle which is about 44" around, and 6" wide. It also has a 3"X 16" patch attachet to the front, which was going to join up with the body

*What was the beginnings of a hauberk for my toddler son, it's just a tube of maille 27" around and 9" long. When I get around to making one, I'm going to use saw-cut rings.

*About 1500 loose rings

I paid about $70 US at the time, and would like to trade the whole lot for a Norman-style dress helm. Used, rusted, dented, whatever, we're trying to outfit some people for a single day, so as long as the shape and material is right, we'll work from there. Post or email, thanks in advance.

Wandering off to bed,

~Wil

*EDIT* The above measurements were taken with the maille pieces laid flat and spread out, but not stretched to their maximum range. I could do ring count X ring count if folks would prefer.
