I just wanted to add a little here.

I was at AW war this year and spent a little bit of time in Firedryks booth talking to Waldryk and looking over his work. I was rather excited to hear that you guys are moving to the west coat, im personally located in roseburg for the cost is rather close. When i mentioned that it would be cool to come visit and bs once you guys had moved in, the reply i got was that i would be put to work ;). Looking forward to having you guys out this way.

Doe, just as an FYI, people who are buying off the rack items in existence now often do not want custom made armour to be delivered at a later date. Just something to consider instead of the default, "Although he asked for a refund, he will love some custom armour!"

Also, I understand you felt like you needed to defend your husband. But your explanation of what happened would make me more leary of buying in the future than the lack of information we had before.

Yes, looking at the pictures that is pretty solid placement of the policies.

Re: People getting up in arms, there has seemingly been a rash of armorers taking money and jetting, or taking money and not delivering, or any other thing...don't take it personally that people got jumpy the moment there was a problem with a new armor supplier. It's got far less to do with Firedryk than you'd think based on the reactions.

Unfortunately many before you have paved a very rocky road for you to travel over.

The only thing is, he claims to have a written offer that contravenes the no refunds notice on the website. That written offer would supersede anything posted on the website. It is really very simple, if somebody acting as the agent of says that "they will do x" then it is incumbent upon the business to follow through with what their agent offered to do so long as no laws are violated in the process.

Hopefully the issue has been truly resolved and everybody involved can move on.

I know the good folks at FireDryk Steel personally and professionally. They are upstanding people. I am NOT saying this customer is one, but there are some people out there that you just can't please no matter what. As this thread has shown by both parties involved, it is resolved to both their liking.

As for Firedryk steel, let the record speak for itself. The customer got a little worried but was taken care of. One miscommunication, that's all, out of hundreds of satisfied customers and smooth transactions. The difference with this and other armorers with bad reputations is this was one miscommunication, where as the other armorers had or have a long list of disatisfied customers with no resolution.

For those looking for armor, please consider Firedryk steel. They are awesome! I put my reputation and money on the line by recommedning them...LITERALLY!!!! I am a disrtibutor for their armor. I send payments in the THOUSANDS of dollars to them with no issues...EVER.

So as they transition to the West Coast...remember you will still be able to buy their armor off the shelf through us, at the same cost, at events like Gulf Wars, Pennsic, Birka and others along the Eastern USA.

Just my 2 cents. Regards, Ulrich von Rothenburg
