Hi, James,
I found a few places selling viking garb. This one seems the most interesting.http://www.middelalderdrakter.no/. I've emailed them and they write english very well. They also have some nice gambeson patterns. Take a look around the site, it's kinda cool. Also, where are you located? I know a couple of people who do pretty reasonably priced custom work. And viking is more about layers and texture than structure and decoration which makes it a lot easier to do long distance and for less. You may want to try The Clothiers Companion. She's in CA but will do custom work and her prices are pretty reasonable. She's also LH directed rather than LARP or SCA, so her work is more period than others. Her email is jdhulett99@cs.com. Her name is Joan. What pieces do you want? How many and made from what?

James,
I would suggest a local Chicago region merchant:
http://www.thwackugh.com/
Brigitta has quite a few shirts and trews in stock (and is always sewing more) and will custom sew gambisons.
-Keith/Austin.
