Samurai armor (from Soshs Armory)

Post by RedShark92 »

I have a set of Samurai armor that I am trying to sell.

This was made for me in the mid-90s by Soshs Armory of New York state. Construction is primarily heavy plastic plates with nylon lacing and some pieces (upper leg guards and forearm guards) made of heavy cloth or leather. Helmet is primarily made of plate metal, crest is vinyl.

This is not SCA combat legal as it is, though I was informed; by both the armorer and local friends who are in the SCA (as I am not); that it could be converted to be combat legal without much effort.

There are some items of clothing that will be included with this. Please see the photo. I will add more photos and details later on, or can provide these by request. Please respond here or e-mail me at redshark92@yahoo.com

I would like to get $650 for this, but this is negotiable as are the arrangements for shipping.

I'm not sure of that offhand, as I am not really knowledgeable about this stuff. I can take some close-up pictures to see if you can get an idea from that, or if you can give me an idea of what to look for our how to measure it I can see what I can come up with for you.

EDIT: I can say that the main helmet part of the Kabuto is thicker and more substantial than the Shakiro (the separate pieces that are laced together and cover the back and sides.
