Guys,

I have been trying to improve my leather work lately. About a decade (or so) ago, I wrote a "Getting started in leather armor making" essay, cobbled together (yes, pun intended) from a lot of posts on the archive, and from personal experience. I would like to improve it for inclusion on the Archive's "Essays" section. It needs more stuff included (like hardening) and it needs a basic re-write (which I can do, once it's finished).

If you are an experienced leather worker, I would like to ask that you help me get this ready.

I also need to add that Gavin Kilkenny (who has forgotten more about leather than I will ever know) added and corrected a whole lot on that original essay.

If I could make a suggestion when it comes to hardening leather his Grace Cariodoc of the Bow has just about written the book on it I would suggest you contact him he is almost always willing to help on stuff like this. If memory serves me right you should be able to locate him through the Kingdom of the East web site
