Hi all,

Random question for you all. I've searched the web high and low, but am having a hard time finding suitable bar stock steel for sword making. The best I can find is stuff of 12 inches or less. For what it's worth, I'm looking for minimum 1.5 inch by about 3/16" by at least 24". Preferably in the 1060-1050 area, or 5160. Thanks so much!

How much? A one of or a supplier for a business?

I think Baltimore knife or other vendor that orders material by the ton would be my first choice.

The price drops considerably when your ordering in volume.

If your willing to work with bar stock drill rod can work.

Check with Aldo at http://newjerseysteelbaron.com/. He'll take care of you, whether you're after 5 pounds or several tons.
