Best source for vegetale tanned sides?

Post by James B. »

As the topic says I am looking for the best source for vegetate tanned sides? I need a couple of 4-5oz sides. Tandy sells crap leather for too much I was a fan of Siegel's but they are no longer in full business.

Thanks

Weaver is another good supplier out of Ohio, torvaldr uses them.

The real leather people operate out of Kentucky, I think prices are reasonable.

Zackwhite.com was recommended to me by several hours people so thats where I've been buying from... i don't know much about leather quality or prices from other places though so i can't really say how they compare to other places... though i have been happy with all the veg tanned that Ive used from them so far.

Real leather people have a good price on thicker veg tanned, will come back to that when I need soles for my shoes.

Zackwhite.com is not bad on price for 3-4 oz hides.

I like and use Weaver. Not necessarily the cheapest but I have an account there and they are very easy to deal with and the leather is top quality which is a consideration when you can't pick it out yourself.
