I have some pieces of Sir Richard's armor I will be selling here on the Archive to raise money for his widow and daughter. I will post gear with what I think are reasonable prices. You can pay more if you wish to give to the cause. 100% of the money will go his family.

Well that was fast. I put a pair of legs up and they sold within about a minute. The next item is a pair of nicely formed stainless steel greaves.
Richard had very good taste- These have a very nice shape that follow the calf shape.

They are the greaves with the "RB" for Richard Blackmoore.

Can we get some measurements on the greaves?

Happy to be able to help Richard's girls.

Alan Redman gets these. He was first to order. I have more items coming. Thank you all who are buying. The next item will be auctioned.

These were Richard's Gothic Legs. I do not know who made these but they are VERY nice. Stainless steel with no dents. Very nice fluting. Deep and not machined. Fairly light weight and very strong.
Bid starts at $350. I think that they are worth at least $600. There will be no reserve.
Wanda and Ashley will be thankful for the money.

Disregard the high price of these legs on the site. That is there to discourage folks from buying them out from under the auction.

Your Grace, I am confused on how you are going about selling RB's armor. You advertised the greaves on the AA and had a link that took me to your website. I ordered the greaves from your website, but now there is a message saying that you sold them to someone else on the AA. My order confirmation # is SO195. I received this before the other gentleman decided to buy. You are now running an auction for the legs but have them forsale on your website as well. If someone didn't come on the AA but went straight to your website and purchased them, you will have the same situation on your hands again. Please resolve and advise. Do I get the greeves I purchased from your website or not? If RB's armor is going to be sold strictly through the AA, I would not have it so people could purchase through your website that may not even see the AA. Regards, Ulrich

Hey Ulrich,
Yup, I realized that this system was not working when we sold the greaves 3 times within a very shirt period of time. I am giving precedence to the gentleman who put his bid in first. He is #SO194, one before you. Had you put bought them first, I would have sold them to you. The odd lot section is full of items that are one offs, so there is a chance that this might happen again in that area.
I have changed the price of the legs to "call for price". I put a crazy price on them at first to discourage someone from buying them out from under the auction. So there should be no issue going forward. Lesson learned.

Thanks for the clarification. And the legs that are now up for sale, that is an auction. Not $350 takes them? Because the others were straight sales. Bestregards, Ulrich

$350 might take them if no one bids against you.

Okay, that makes sense, as I have an invoice number as well.

Any bids on the legs at $350? No reserve. Stainless steel gothic legs. I almost paid for these myself as they are very unique and nicely made.

Do you know what size (roughly) the legs would fit? Thank you.

Richard was about 6 foot and 230lbs. They should fit sizes both ways. What is your height and weight?

If the legs are still available, I would open the bidding at $300, this seems to have fallen off the 1st page and is truly a worthy cause.

Understood. You will not be dissapointed. The pictures do not do these justice. They have deep flowing flutes in them. I will hold the acution over till the end of next week. Only because I will be going to Estrella and will not be able to do much till I return.
