No more the pajama warrior...reviews of Jeff Wasson and WTC

In the past, I have always opted for minimal armor, due to a combination of old back issues and a speed-based fighting style. I've basically been focused on developing my prowess and winning tourneys. Over the past year, though, I have started to really care about the appearance of my kit as well...and I have been making changes to it to 'look the part' as well.

Most recently, I purchased spring steel arms from Jeff Wasson, and spring steel spaulders from Winter Tree Crafts. Both craftsmen were a delight to deal with, they got the armor made to my measurements and shipped to me in time for me to proudly wear it at Gulf Wars.

While I understand the quality of spring steel can vary, both of these craftsmen provided me with the very best. I fought in the new armor at Gulf Wars this week, and I still won the tournament I fought in by a landslide (75 wins!), so I think it is safe to say that it is possible to have armor that looks good and allows me to fight at my best!

I will definitely do business with Jeff and Erik at WTC again.

Here is a picture showing the evolution of my kit since I started playing.

I've reviewed the rest of my armor in other posts, but to recap:

Helm: Ice Falcon
Brigandine: Ice Falcon
Gauntlets: West Coast Armory
Splinted Legs: Ice Falcon
Greaves: Red Falcon

I highly recommend all of these armorers!
