A note to my customers, Or: Im the Williamsburg Kingpin.

Post by Kilian_the_warlike »

To all those who have bought products from me:

Some of you may have noticed packages that have been opened and sealed with USPS inspection tape, and that they have had multiple stickers stacked on them and delayed shipping times...

Well, today I found out why: my outgoing packages have been flagged on the USPS watch list. Apparently, in the USPS in Williamsburg Va, have decided that the items I have recently mailed are of a suspicious, and possibly dangerous nature. The items that cause the most concern were as follows:

Historic reproduction clay pipes; watchlist categorized as "drug paraphernalia"
Blackhawk Tactical Vest; watchlist categorized as "gun accessories"
Airsoft gun, (in the original box no less!; watchlist categorized as "modifiable replica firearm"

I have ALWAYS been clear with my descriptors, declaring my goods as reproduction good/ tobacco accessory, hunting equipment and sporting good/replica firearm respectively.

To be short, I will not be selling anything via mail for a while. I will have pipes at Ruby Joust, and apologize for the inconvenience.

In service;

I'd need a different return address, and name, and don't want to put that crap on my friends :P

You should have seen the look on the guy's face when I walked into the post office with the rattan viking sword and saex set I finished Monday. He looked like he was about to be robbed.

I just told him it was wooden replicas for stage combat and it shipped no problem.

Didn't they hold you for questioning at the ferry because you had axes in your car?

BTW, now that the burn ban is has been lifted I'm thinking of getting my forge out of storage.

People freak out about steel. It's odd.
